Nomination of Dr. Hani Abu Zaid as Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Arab African Economy and Counselor Al-Obaidi as its Secretary General
(Cairo – Follow-up to Assyria) Muhammad Al-Khalidi .. Sources in the Supreme Council for the Arab African Economy said about the nomination of Dr. Hani Abu Zaid as President of the Supreme Council for the Arab African Economy and Adviser Mustafa Al-Ubaidi as Secretary-General of the Council.
According to the sources, the choice of Abu Zaid is the necessity of developing new policies and an increase in investments between Arab and African countries, with the aim of achieving joint cooperation to reach food security. And that the Arab-African Economic Supreme Council will set a group of challenges represented in poverty, health, education and water scarcity in the Arab region
. In addition to the challenges that have made cooperation to achieve food and water security an urgent necessity, as well as access to the foundations for improving international transport structures and border crossing centers and revising the legal and regulatory framework to enhance investment and facilitate trade between African countries. In addition to providing economic agencies with better information on the African market, creating innovative financial tools, developing measures to enhance intra-regional exports and increasing the involvement of the private sector.
For his part, Counselor Mustafa Al-Ubaidi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Arab African Economy, stated that the nomination of Dr. Hani Abu Zaid will have an effective role for his relations at the Arab-African level through setting a program for the new system to deal with resources at all levels, as well as finding systems with experience In carrying out the necessary research and providing the necessary investments by setting programs and holding courses that the foundation stone brings in Baghdad, Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh and many other countries.
